I struggled this weekend with whether or not to post comments. I decided that I needed to take time out and re-charge and re-focus. This is one important rule I find when trying to put forth plans to achieve your goals.
A lot of times we end up having 20 to do’s on our list of achievements and in turn rip ourselves a part if we do not achieve ALL 20 within our pre-set timeline. We have to be able to focus on the one goal that is most important and work our way down the list. Focus also forces us to really think about which goal is most important to us as Go Getters. It is the 80/20 rule. In this case the one that you are most passionate about is going to float to the top immediately.
I had a conversation with one of my best friends today who is finishing up her masters, working, and doing a number of other things. She was feeling a little frustrated because in her mind she has not achieved all the goals she set out to do over the years and has really been calibrating herself to this list. This is another reason why focusing is so important. If you know you have that one thing that will impact everything else positively to focus on you will have time to put that plan into action rather than worrying about accomplishing everything on the list. You also will have more likelihood to gain a win and feel good at the end of it all, which is important when it comes to driving through with your commitment of achieving your goal. If you end up feeling like you cannot accomplish EVERYTHING discouragement will set in quickly.
Remember as a Go Getter you will constantly have things on your plate that you keep piling on because you or even someone else feels you can get it done. Moral of the story is when to recognize the true value add to yourself in achieving your main goal when you focus.

We are starting to review destinations for our honeymoon next year early May.
Places so far that top the list are Prague, Croatia, Greece, Hawaii, Spain.
However my number one is Greece!
If anyone out there has information on either one of these destinations please let me know.

Don't deny your passion
Does anyone have any ideas on how you can generate income by leaving your day to day job and taking up travel? I know, near impossible but it does not hurt to ask. How many of you feel like no matter what you do to live a normal life everyday you always still are anxious to be somewhere else? From what I have observed we are one of few cultures that think working 60 hours a week and only getting 10 days off a year is normal. What happened to giving people inspiration or something to look forward to like travel? I really believe in living every day like it is your last but how is that possible when there are bills to be paid and real world realities to contend with:-(
I recently saw on the news last week someone I went to high school and college with was killed in a terrible car accident just 3 days before her graduation from medical school. Obviously I was suprised and striken with disbelief but I find myself wandering if she really lived her life to the fullest and if she accomplished at least 50% of the things in life she wanted to do. Life is too short and before you know it every day has passed by and your list of things to do before you die has only gotten longer with nothing checked off. I vowed to myself that I would not let that happen with my wish list of travel (even though I may go broke trying to accomplish it). If you have a passion whatever it is you should definitely do what you can to reward yourself with it as much as you can. That is the only way to take back those lost moments of working late for someone else, daily chores, cleaning, or whatever else that calls in the real world.

Road Trip
We are planning a mini road trip with friends for this summer. We are thinking Key West but I would like to see if we can do a road trip to Blue Ridge mountain in North Carolina. If anyone out there has been can you give me details?

Introduction
I am making an attempt at sharing my thoughts which I have never been good at. I figure since I am in online marketing that I should actually start participating in the world of online from a social networking standpoint. If I am going to do that I am going to talk about and share what has been a growing passion of mine for the last 2 years. Travel! The passion started with a small trip to Vegas, then San Francisco (favorite US city so far by the way. It is like a clean New York City), then LA, then Mexico, and then Rome. I just came back from Negril, Jamaica which I did not consider a ahah trip because my family comes from Jamaica. However once I got there and realized how different it was from the current state of where I live everyday I soon realized it did not matter. No matter where, no matter how close or far, travel has become my ultimate fix and escape from my everyday world. As long as I always have a trip scheduled I can wake up every morning with a little more excitement and something to look forward to. This is the ultimate high for me.
Not sure how you feel about travel and what it does to you but it actually touches me emotionally. I know that sounds corny but I really do feel at peace when I am on a plane headed to another place where whatever seems important or stressful in my life at the time becomes minute in the surroundings of my new environment.
The same day I came back from Negril I quickly booked a trip to London for December to get me through the day of getting back to the daily grind.
That is when it hit me that travel has become my trule love (behind my fiance of course who shares the same feeling of travel).
